DRIFT - Endless Racer
NEWAbout DRIFT - Endless Racer
DRIFT is an endless racer built around a single technique: holding a controlled slide through a corner instead of braking for it. The car naturally understeers toward the outside of a turn, and countering that with a deliberate slide is both the fast line and the scoring mechanic. Longer drifts held closer to the edge score more, so speed and points pull in the same direction rather than trading off against each other. The controls are intentionally minimal. Steering and a drift input are all you have, and the depth comes from modulation rather than complexity: how early you initiate, how long you hold, and how you recover the line on exit. A drift that continues a fraction too long crosses from controlled into a spin, and finding that boundary is the entire learning curve. The track generates continuously and gets faster, so there is no memorising a circuit. You are reading corners as they arrive and committing before you can fully see the exit. Runs typically end not on a difficult corner but on the corner after a very good one, when the speed carried out of a perfect drift is more than the next turn allows.
How to Play DRIFT - Endless Racer
- 1Steer left and right with the arrow keys or A and D.
- 2Hold the drift input as you enter a corner to break traction.
- 3Balance the slide with counter-steering to hold your line through the turn.
- 4Longer, tighter drifts build a higher score multiplier.
- 5Hitting a barrier ends the run.

Tips & Strategy
- Initiate the drift before the corner, not in it. Starting late means the slide begins after you already needed it.
- Release earlier than feels right. Most crashes come from holding a good drift a fraction too long.
- Speed carried out of a corner is a liability for the next one. Scrub some deliberately after a fast section.
- The multiplier rewards continuity. Several linked medium drifts score better than one long drift followed by a reset.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is there a brake?
- Not in the conventional sense. Cornering is controlled through drifting and counter-steering rather than braking, which is why the technique is the whole game.
- How does the score multiplier work?
- It builds with sustained drifts held close to the edge and resets when you straighten out, so linking corners scores far better than isolated slides.
- Does the track repeat?
- No, it generates continuously and speeds up, so you are reading corners as they arrive rather than learning a fixed circuit.
