About 3D Ball Maze — Labyrinth Physics

3D Ball Maze is a physics puzzle in the tradition of a wooden labyrinth board with a ball bearing and two tilt dials. You do not move the ball directly. You tilt the whole maze and let gravity do the work, which means every input is indirect and every correction arrives slightly after you wanted it. Momentum is the entire difficulty. The ball keeps rolling after you level the board, so stopping it at a specific point requires counter-tilting before it arrives rather than when it gets there. That anticipation is unnatural at first and becomes intuitive with practice, which is exactly the learning curve that makes the physical version of this puzzle satisfying. Holes are placed to punish speed rather than to block routes. A straight corridor is dangerous precisely because it lets the ball build up pace, so the fastest-looking line is often the one that drops you. Narrow sections require you to arrive already slow, which means the braking has to start well before the section does. Later levels combine long accelerating runs with tight turns at the end, so the whole approach has to be planned rather than improvised. It rewards patience more than any other game here.

How to Play 3D Ball Maze — Labyrinth Physics

  1. 1Tilt the maze with the arrow keys, or by tilting a mobile device.
  2. 2The ball rolls under gravity in the direction you tilt.
  3. 3Guide it through the labyrinth without dropping into a hole.
  4. 4Reach the exit portal to complete the level.
  5. 5Later levels add tighter corridors and more hazards.

Tips & Strategy

  • Counter-tilt before the turn, not at it. The ball keeps its momentum, so corrections made on arrival are already too late.
  • Long straight sections are the dangerous ones. They build speed you then have to lose before a narrow gap.
  • Small, frequent tilts beat large ones. Big corrections overshoot and start an oscillation that is hard to settle.
  • Plan the whole route before you start moving. Improvising through a tight section rarely works at speed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I control the ball directly?
No. You tilt the maze and gravity moves the ball, which is why anticipating momentum rather than reacting to position is the central skill.
Does it use my phone's motion sensor?
On supported mobile devices you can tilt the device itself. Keyboard and on-screen controls work everywhere as an alternative.
Why do I keep overshooting turns?
Because the ball retains momentum after you level the board. Begin counter-tilting well before the turn rather than when you reach it.
